Although I taught children art, I thought of myself as a teacher. I had delved into the arts over the years working with fabric paints, ceramics, knitting, crafting, etc. I made killer bulletin boards! It was not until later in life that I realized I was an artist. After a full career as a teacher and legal secretary, I was forced into an early disability retirement. Once I began the healing process, I realized I NEEDED to create. A friend talked me into trying a painting class. |

Most of my oil paintings are detail work. I really enjoy true-to-life subjects, and am inspired by the beauty I see during my travels midwest and southern USA, as well as my home in New Mexico. Landscapes, seascapes, birds, animals and sunsets are my favorites subjects I am a member of the Rio Rancho Art Association. I had a show at the Pasta house, Rio Rancho NM, have had pictures hanging at the West Mesa Hospital. O'Hare's Restaurant, Arts Alliance Gallery, and Albuquerque Little Theater. I have an on-going show at On The Corner Cafe in Albuquerque, NM. |
